Founder and CEO Luke Burkett was the original rebel of the family, dropping out of high school and detailing cars to make money. In 1993, Silver Star Casting Co was officially established.
In 2003, Luke’s wife Charis B joined the business, making it a true family venture. A former Playboy model, she too is edgy and uninhibited. She provides the brain and the drive behind making their business a success. Together, they aggressively promote their line of Silver Star clothing through appearances at hard-rock concerts, MMA fights and other parties where their ever-growing fan base congregates.
The core collection is grunge-inspired, reminding you of the guys in the garage band down the street. Common themes include skulls, wings, bikes and dangerous looking dragons. On closer inspection, you realize that the artwork chosen for Silver Star clothing is not that of the typical hate-filled teenager. These are top-quality, hard core originals, created by talented artists, and chosen for their attention to detail and the mood that they inspire.
The colors help to firmly brand the designs as rebellious and non-traditional. No starched white shirts with collars here.
